Himukai-Daijingu is a shrine build by the order of Emperor Kenzo, the 23th emperor. The divine spirit enshrined there said to be transferred from the ridge of Mt. Takachiho in Tsukushi Himuka, Miyazaki Prefecture. Although the shrine buildings were burned down during the Onin War, they were rebuilt in the early Edo Era. It is a shrine to pray for traffic safety, many worshippers come to visit there.
